Lobbying & Political Activities

Our role as a public charity

We strictly adhere to the IRS guidelines for lobbying and political activities as defined on the IRS website and on this page.

IRS Guidelines for Lobbying Activities

  • Lobbying activities involves attempting to influence legislation at the local, state, or federal level.
  • 501(c)(3) organizations are allowed to engage in some lobbying, but it must be insubstantial.
  • Insubstantial generally means that no more than 5-10% of the organization’s total activities (time, effort, and expenditure) should be devoted to lobbying.

Our Position on Lobbying Activities

Intact Global does not engage in lobbying in any way, shape, or form.

While we may engage in advocacy efforts to further our mission, such as providing education on public policy issues, conducting research, and distributing unbiased information related to our cause, these activities are strictly non-lobbying in nature and focus solely on raising awareness and educating the public without attempting to influence legislation.

Our focus remains on our mission to protect children from forced, non-religious genital mutilation, and we do not engage in any activities that could be construed as lobbying.
