Intact Global launches GoFundMe fundraiser for a Constitutional Challenge in Oregon
Funds raised will be used for legal research, filing fees, court costs, expert witnesses, and to help gather public support.

Background
Male genital mutilation is a deeply rooted practice that infringes on the bodily autonomy and human rights of infants and young children, much like female genital mutilation, which is already illegal in most countries, including the United States. Male genital mutilation results in the deaths of 100-200 children in the U.S. annually and irreversibly removes around 75% of the sexual nerve endings in men.
Despite increased awareness of its harms, the legal protections against male genital mutilation are still insufficient. Our constitutional challenge seeks to address these gaps and establish stronger legal protections for children in Oregon.
